I liked getting to know Cam in this story and the change in relationship between siblings from beginning to end reminded me of my own relationship with my brother." - Amazon Reader"Another well-written YA horse story by Tudor Robins, this is the prequel to her Appaloosa Summer. Sometimes it seems like an author will write a prequel that has no point, just to get a sale. Luckily this prequel is actually a fun and engaging story, with great horse parts … Recommend this book for anyone who enjoys YA fiction, or who enjoys horse fiction. As always, the horse parts are very accurate and well done." - Amazon Reader

I really loved reading the Island Series, so when I had the opportunity to read the Prequel - Six-Month Horse, I jumped at the chance. In this novella, we see how Meg came to find her one true love - a skinny bay Thoroughbred named Major Disaster.Even though this is only a novella, we see some great character growth from Meg, and we get to know her best friend Slate better too.I highly recommend you try this book, and the series too - if you haven't already!

Really Interesting Story!I thought this book was very well written. The characters were well developed and each was unique. Meg was especially interesting.i really enjoyed how she was much more interested in finding a horse that fit with her personality and her future plans. Well done Ms. Robins!
