Another thoroughly satisfying Q.C. Davis mystery. I started out afraid I would be more interested in Quille's investigation into her sister's death than the main mystery, but I found myself quickly wrapped up in the fascinating world of alien experiencers, class action lawsuits, and of course, the city of Chicago, which is a character in itself.

Quille’s fifth case is an increasingly layered affair, as the long term mystery of her own sister’s murder picks up speed in the background and she has her full crew chasing simultaneous leads on the murder of a class action lawyer hiding an unusual passion project on the side. Fun stuff, and it makes me want to try out the water taxis one of these days, too.
