Guardian of the Sea: The Siren’s Curse by K.N. Lee, is the prequel to the Half-blood Dragon series that tells how Elian and Siddhe met. In this book Siddhe is supposed to find the infamous Captain Elian Westin and convince him to break a devastating curse but she ends up falling in love with him once their paths finally cross. Once Elian enemies starts using dark magic Siddhe must finally make a choice. If you want to know what she chooses then I suggest that you go and read Guardian of the Sea
