very engagingDefinitely a capable author. Not a new premise, but well written. Really good cast of characters. No explicit content (except violence I guess) but some great innuendos in the old tradition. Buying the next book now.
For some reason, this one started a little slow for me - despite some action. I think it was the constant "inner voice" discussions Cian was having. After the Fae exposure started, the characters and the action really picked up. It was a fun read and the characters really gained a ton of personality and comradery. Finding allies along the way was interesting and the villains in the story really work their lines. I adored Saffy and while Cian's birthright wasn't a huge surprise, it was timely. Lo

Cats and dogs and magical fun oh my yes. I definitely enjoyed this book and am glad there will be more in this series. I recommend this book, just start it early in the day so you are not up past midnight to finish it.
