Downgraded from 3 to 1 stars when, looking at the Wikipedia page for the Greek Olympians, I found that chapter one of this book is nearly a word-for-word reconstruction of that list of Olympians.Unfortunately, that sums up most of this book. I learned a fair amount from listening to it, as my knowledge of Greek mythology was rather slim, but none of it was anything that couldn’t be found in a Wikipedia summary. A great read.Most enjoyable to find out the stories behind so many characters from Greek mythology. Interesting to now see why we see references to these stories so often in more modern works.
Excellent Reference Material for My Home LibraryThis was really well done, nicely organized, concise, and hit all the highlights. I have homeschooled for years, and we have plenty of books on mythology. This book is a perfect addition to the family library.
