A book for the young and young at heart about the joy and magic that exists between a dog and its human friend who have both gotten a little bit older. The story was prompted by a seven-year-old petting Oreo, noting her bump on her head. (a benign cyst). I told her that was not a bump but part of her unicorn horn. She looked amazed and said, "Unicorns aren't real," to which I replied, "In books and the world of imagination, they are very real." Thus, the book was born! An easy-to-read book for early readers, but all children will enjoy the story, vibrant pictures, and the beautiful story of how Oreo got a bump on her head!
Sweet story for young (and old!) dog loversWhat a sweet story! Children will love Oreo and will giggle at hearing that she is part unicorn! Great read aloud to share with your young ones, who will easily catch on to the rhymes and be reading along with you. Highly recommend!
